Karakteristik Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS): Analisis Spasial Biogeofisik DAS Paguyaman

Penelitian ini menganalisis karakteristik biogeofisik Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Paguyaman untuk mendukung pengelolaan wilayah yang berkelanjutan melalui pendekatan berbasis data spasial dengan memanfaatkan Geographic Information System (GIS). Data yang digunakan mencakup survei lapangan, citra satelit, model elevasi digital (DEM) beresolusi 30 meter, serta data iklim dari stasiun meteorologi setempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis tanah yang dominan adalah Latosol, yang mencakup 51,35% dari total luas wilayah, diikuti oleh Podsolik (21,57%) dan Aluvial (17,09%). Latosol yang subur memerlukan manajemen konservasi yang tepat untuk mencegah degradasi, sementara Podsolik yang bersifat asam memerlukan perlakuan khusus guna mendukung produktivitas pertanian. Tutupan lahan didominasi oleh hutan lahan kering sekunder, yang mencakup 36,43% dari total area, berperan penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan hidrologi dan mencegah erosi. Topografi DAS Paguyaman, yang didominasi oleh perbukitan (55,24%) dan pegunungan (26,67%), menunjukkan risiko tinggi terhadap erosi, sehingga diperlukan strategi konservasi seperti reboisasi dan teknik terasering. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya integrasi data biogeofisik dalam merumuskan strategi pengelolaan yang adaptif dan responsif terhadap perubahan iklim, serta mendukung kebutuhan masyarakat lokal. Temuan ini dapat menjadi referensi strategis bagi penelitian lanjutan dan pengembangan kebijakan pengelolaan DAS yang lebih efektif.
